Heller Martial Arts

Main Content

Taekwondo

TaeKwonDo is a traditional Korean style of martial art. Heller Martial Arts adds in techniques and practices based on self-defense, making TaeKwonDo more than just punches, kicks, and forms. We are part of the GTMA (Global Traditional Martial Arts).  Classes also include weapon training, sparring practice, games, drills, board breaks, and more as students work their way to their black belt. Most students are usually kids and youth (1st grade – High School), though many adults also undertake the journey. 4-6 year olds can participate in Lil’ Tiger Camp.

There are many benefits with TaeKwonDo.

  • Improve coordination and balance
  • Increase flexibility and strength
  • Build confidence and self-esteem
  • Earn respect and loyalty
  • Learn self-defense
  • Become more responsible and courteous

Current class schedule is Monday and Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00, as well as 2 weekend days a month.  Beginner Block is 5:30-6:30 and will be white, orange, and yellow belts.  Advanced Block is 6:00-7:00 for camo belts and up.  Current weekend classes are 1st and 3rd Saturdays, 9-10am for BB, 9:30-10:30 for AB.  See facebook or newsletter for updates to schedule.
